A major bugbear of attending any ticketed event is arranging to receive tickets by post. Postage is not only expensive, but can be inconvenient for people who work during the day. Strikes and other acts out of the hands of the promoters can play havoc and each year hundreds of tickets are lost in the postal system.
COG Promotions e-Tickets eliminate the need to rely on the postal service. e-Tickets can be ordered securely online. You are then emailed a confirmation. When attending the event, please take the email, and advise you are on the e-Tickets list. Please note: You are not required to take a printed out e-ticket confirmation to the event to collect your e-tickets.
COG Promotions have very tight anti-fraud procedures to protect you and e-Tickets are no different. You will need to show your confirmation email which contains your unique QR code and PayPal transaction ID, to collect your tickets.
If you are purchasing more than one ticket for an event, make sure your entire party is together when you arrive at the venue – QR codes can only be scanned and accepted once.
I have not received my email confirmation.
All email confirmations are sent immediately once your order is placed so should arrive in just a few seconds. Occasionally emails may get delayed or lost – due to the nature of the internet and nasty spammers, sometimes our innocent emails can get caught in spam filters. We work very hard to ensure this doesn’t happen, but ultimately we’re not in control of how your email provider categorises emails.
Please check your spam/junk folder if your confirmation email does not appear in your inbox. If you still do not have your confirmation email, please contact us.
Note: If you have clicked “Mark as Junk” on a COG Promotions email in the past, there is a high likelihood that your email provider will categorise any other emails from us (including your email confirmations) as junk. As such, please be careful and it may help to add ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ to your ‘safe list’ or contacts list.
Can I have a refund?
Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed in the Terms and Conditions upon purchase.
If the event you have purchased tickets for has been cancelled, please contact us and we will arrange a refund. We realise that an event cancellation is not your fault so we will refund as much of your original purchase price as possible. In the majority of cases, this will include the face value. Please note that we can’t refund booking fees.
All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the event date.
I was refused entry on the door, can I get a refund?
Event promoters and door/security staff reserve the right to refuse entry for health and safety or any other reason they feel is reasonable (such as drunkenness or inappropriate attire/behaviour). The venue reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any terms and conditions of the event or the venue. The security staff may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons. No refunds will be given if access is denied or ejected from the venue.
